Mail providers decide where an email goes from two things: proof that it really comes from you, and how people have treated your past emails. Work through both.

1. Send from your own verified domain

Emails sent from SendBeam's shared address carry SendBeam's identity, not yours. Add and verify your own sending domain in Settings → Sending, then set the campaign's from address to an address on that domain. See Setting up a sending domain.

2. Check your domain against the providers' rules

Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft Outlook all ask bulk senders for SPF or DKIM, a DMARC record, matching domains and one-click unsubscribe. Run your domain through the free sender check. It grades each requirement and tells you what to fix.

3. Only email people who asked to hear from you

  • Bought, scraped or very old lists produce bounces and spam complaints, and providers count both against you.
  • Before your first send, import the unsubscribes and bounces from your previous email platform. See Suppressions.
  • Use double opt-in on signup forms, so every new contact has confirmed their address. See Double opt-in.

4. Make every email clearly yours

  • Use a from name people recognise, and a subject that matches the content.
  • Keep the unsubscribe link easy to find. Someone who can't unsubscribe often presses "Report spam" instead.

5. Start a new domain gently

If your domain is new to sending, send first to the people most likely to open: recent subscribers and customers. Widen to the rest of the list after a few campaigns.

Watch for warnings

If bounces or complaints rise, SendBeam emails you a sending health warning. Act on it straight away, because sending is paused if they keep rising. See My campaign hasn't sent.
