Open the campaign from Campaigns. Its status, and any reason it could not send, are shown on its page.

It is still a draft, waiting for approval

If your workspace requires approval, the campaign waits until an admin approves it. Editing the subject, content or audience after approval sends it back for approval. See Approval before sending.

It is scheduled, but the time has passed or looks wrong

When you pick the send time, SendBeam uses the time zone of the computer or phone you scheduled it from. If you scheduled it while travelling, or for an audience somewhere else, the time may not be what you expected. See Time zones.

It was cancelled at its scheduled time

A scheduled campaign checks your monthly email allowance again at the moment it sends. If sending it would go over the allowance, it is cancelled, the reason is shown on its page, and workspace admins are emailed. Check usage on Billing & Plans, then upgrade or wait for the allowance to reset at the start of the month.

"Monthly email limit reached"

Your account has used its plan's monthly emails across all its workspaces. Upgrade on Billing & Plans, or wait for the reset at the start of next month.

Sending is paused for the workspace

When a workspace's sending is paused, for example because its bounces or spam complaints got too high, a notice on your dashboard says so and why. While it is paused, nothing is emailed from the workspace: campaigns (including scheduled ones), automation emails, RSS emails, the transactional API, confirmation emails, team invitations, test sends and form notifications all wait.

Review where your recent contacts came from, then send us a message to have sending resumed.

Nobody in the audience can receive it

Everyone in the audience is unsubscribed, bounced, unconfirmed or has a placeholder address. SendBeam never sends to test addresses such as anything at example.com, a reserved test domain, or the postmaster@ and abuse@ mailboxes. Check the list or segment you chose. See Some contacts didn't receive my campaign.

It is sending, but slowly

  • The campaign may be set to spread its send over a few hours. See Spreading a send over a few hours.
  • Someone may have paused it. A paused campaign shows Paused and continues when it is resumed.
