WordPress, Zapier, n8n and the other integrations all talk to SendBeam with an API key from one workspace. When a connection stops, the cause is almost always the key or the workspace it belongs to.

It says "Unauthorized"

The key is missing, mistyped or revoked. Check whether it's still listed under Settings → API keys.

  • WordPress: go to Settings → SendBeam in wp-admin and press Connect SendBeam again. Connecting again replaces that site's key, so you don't end up with several. See Connecting WordPress.
  • Zapier, n8n and others: create a new key under Settings → API keys and paste it into the integration's SendBeam connection or credential. Copy it in one go: a missing character or an extra space makes it fail.

It says "Forbidden: … permission required"

The key works but wasn't given that permission. A key's permissions are chosen when it's created and can't be changed afterwards. Create a new key with the permission the message names, swap it into the integration, then revoke the old one. For WordPress, connect again and tick what the site needs.

It can't find a list, tag or form

A key belongs to one workspace and can only see that workspace. If you have several workspaces, check the key came from the one that holds the list, tag or form. The same goes for a list or form that was deleted or archived since the integration was set up: choose it again in the integration.

Emails from the integration stopped, but nothing else did

  • Sending is paused for your workspace. Emails from integrations stop with everything else. Your dashboard says why. See My campaign hasn't sent.
  • The sending domain isn't verified. Mail from your own address waits until its domain verifies. See Sending domain.

It worked, then failed for the rest of the hour

If the error says the workspace has used its API writes for the hour, the integration made more changes than your plan allows in an hour. Reads still work, and the allowance refills each hour. Spread big syncs out, or upgrade on Billing & Plans.

Signups from a WordPress form don't arrive

That's the form rather than the connection. See My signup form isn't adding contacts.
