Start with the message the sign-in page shows you. Each one has a different fix.

"Invalid email or password"

  • Check that the address is the one you signed up with. A different address, or a typo, gives the same message.
  • If you signed up with Google, Apple or GitHub, use that button instead of a password.
  • You don't need your password at all: enter your email and choose Email me a one-click sign-in link.
  • To set a new password, use Forgot password?. We email you a code, and you choose a new password.

A one-click sign-in link works once, for a limited time. Request a new link from the sign-in page and open the newest email. An older link stops working once a newer one has been sent.

"Too many sign-in attempts"

After several wrong passwords for one address, password sign-in for that address pauses for a short while. Wait, then try again. In the meantime the one-click sign-in link still works.

If the page asks you to complete a check before signing in, complete it and sign in as normal.

"That email address has not been verified yet"

The sign-up was not finished: the code we emailed was never entered. Sign up again with the same address to get a new code.

"This account was deleted"

When an account is deleted we email its owner a way back. Use Restore my account in that email, or request a new link at sendbeam.io/account/deleted.

Google, Apple or GitHub sign-in did not finish

For any other provider error, try again, or sign in with your email address instead.

Your two-factor code is not accepted

  • Use the code your authenticator app shows now, not one from a previous screen.
  • Authenticator codes depend on the time. If they keep failing, check that your phone sets its clock automatically.
  • If you no longer have the phone, see If you lose the device.

Your company uses single sign-on

If the page says the account requires single sign-on, choose Use single sign-on under "Company account?" on the sign-in page, and sign in through your company's identity provider.
